Gerard and I arrived at the Harmac East gate at 5:30 and security was expecting us. Prior to boarding we prayed that the Holy Spirit would guide our visit. We were met at deck security by the Chief Officer who too us upstairs to the reading room. While there, the Chief Officer announced over the PA that we were on board with free gifts.
We had a steady stream of seafarers come in to get gifts and we did our best to share at every opportunity as they came in. After they were done there were 4 that stayed to talk to us. We started with a presentation on John 3.16 and Romans 6:23. We gave many examples of eternity and we shared the infinity figure and that opened up their understanding. We interacted with them using a translation app and had them read verses in their Chinese-English New Testaments.
The chief cook was very appreciative of the Cobbs bread and he, and the Second Engineer, stayed with us throughout the presentation. We had a very good visit like when Grant and I visited this same ship on February 7th. The good thing is that language was a small barrier with the help of the translation app.
Please pray that the sharing of John 3:16 will penetrate their hearts and that they will see the love of God that initiated the sacrifice of His Son to pay for our sins, and that God wants to spend eternity wth us.
