We picked up Cecilia and arrived at Harmac around 5 pm. After checking through all 3 levels of security we were taken to the mess room to meet the available seafarers. They had just arrived at 5 am this morning so the captain explained that most of the crew were very tired and that he had a lot to do so could not attend the meeting.
We visited with the 5 who could gather with us and they were asking us some questions about God answering prayer. It’s nice to have some questions about God to start our meeting. We began with John 3:16 and talked about God’s love for us. Then we moved on to John 14:6 and how Jesus is the only way to salvation. After sharing the gospel we give the call with Revelation 3:20 and Jesus knocking at the door to their heart. We also share Romans 8:16; “The Spirit Himself testifies with our Spirit that we are children of God.” It’s important for them to know that a Christian is one who is united with the Spirit of God, and not just someone who says a prayer and carries on with their life as usual.
Cecilia and I (Gary) both shared scriptures and testimonies with them, and they were very attentive to everything we shared.
We praise God for the privilege to share the gospel with these seafarers and to also share stories of God answering prayer with them. Please pray that they will read the materials in their gifts and that the Holy Spirit will continue minister to them as they travel back to Asia.
We prayed for their trip back to Asia, their safety as they travel, and their families back home. We took pictures and left the ship around 6:30.
