We arrived at the ship around 5:45 and were greeted by the young captain who signed us in. We were led into the ship and entered the crew mess. As is custom, we all removed our footwear and were greeted by a very friendly group of seafarers.
We visited with them for a while and then Gerard shared about eternal life using a string for a visual representation. Then I, Frank, gave a gospel presentation using the Fear-Power gospel narrative that Grant has been developing. Phoebe interpreted it into Vietnamese and the group seemed very attentive.
I also gave my personal testimony demonstrating that after accepting Christ the Holy Spirit guides us in a walk that is based on faith and trust in God. I stressed that salvation is totally a gift and not based on works or merit. Phoebe did a great job in bridging the language gap and there was a lot of questions going back and forth.
We handed out 21 presents and they were very appreciative. They invited us to stay for the Lunar New Year celebration at midnight, but Gerard had to get back so we politely declined. We exchanged emails and offered to take them shopping.
We praise God for a good visit and for Phoebe translating for us. We are also very thankful for the opportunity to visit this ship so many times over the last few years. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to use this evening to God’s Glory by reaching into their hearts with His gospel.
