We arrived at the ship around 5:45 and one of the seafarers took us to the crew mess where we me the seafarers. We introduced ourselves and visited with them for a while. They invited us join them for dinner and we gladly accepted as it’s a great way to build friendships with the crew. We had a good dinner and a good visit with them and then we shared the gospel with them.
Gary began sharing his testimony as a seafarer for many years and how God kept him alive through many dangerous situations. We went on to share Psalm 107:23-24 “Some went off to sea in ships, plying the trade routes of the world. They, too, observed the Lord’s power in action, his impressive works on the deepest seas.” Romans 6:23, 3:10, John 3:16, 14, Revelation 3:20 and 21:8.
We finished our time with them by praying for the ship, their voyage, and their families back home. We thanked them for taking time to gather with us this evening and they were very thankful for us coming to visit with them.
We thank God for this visit and we pray that the Lord would draw them to Him through the materials in their gift bags.
