We had favour with all 3 levels of security and were taken to the mess room where we introduced ourselves to the available crew. We visited with them, including the captain, for a while and then they invited us to join them for dinner, to which we gladly accepted. After a good dinner and visit we opened the conversation to spiritual matters by asking them about their hope of salvation. We referenced Hebrews 6 where the writer mentions God’s promise (that he would increase Abraham’s dependents) to Abraham and where God took an oath in His own name. So, those of us who “have fled to Him for refuge” have this hope that is “a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls” Hebrews 6:19.

We all shared our testimonies and various scriptures in Tagalog with them to give them hope in Jesus that they can be truly saved. They listened to us attentively and afterwards we prayed for their protection and safety as they travel and for their families back in the Philippines. Then when we left they walked us to the gangplank, including the captain, and thanked us for the visit. The captain said that they would be back in October and looked forward to seeing us again.

Many of them were very tired as they are leaving tomorrow, so we appreciate them coming out to meet with us. We pray that they will read the materials in their gift bags and that the Holy Spirit would minister to them on their voyage back to Asia.
