Everything went well with getting through security and onto the ship where one seafarer took us to the crew mess to meet available crew. Nobody was there so the seafarer made an announcement and one more came in whom we discovered was a Christian. The first one left, but 4 more came in so we had 5 seafarers with us.
They invited us to have dinner with them, which was very good because we like to visit with them for a bit to get to know them. After dinner the Christian seafarer, named Ron, shared his testimony with us. He was on another ship and was being bullied by the other crew. As a result he had condemning voices in his head that he could not get rid of. Gina and I were on that ship and shared the gospel and when he received Jesus Chris as his Lord and Saviour, the voices left him. He was very happy to see us again on this ship.
We used this to segue into the gospel presentation and we began with God’s love for us in John 3:16. We then carried on through verses in Acts, Romans, Revelation and Matthew (the parable of the sower). We finished with a prayer for their safety during their voyage to Asia, and also for their families back home.
We thank God for Ron’s testimony and the mighty power of the Holy Spirit who is able to save “to the uttermost.” “Whom the Son sets free, is free indeed!” All glory to God!
