Result: 7 gathered to hear the gospel
Items taken on & given out: approximately 80 gospel tracts, 7 – 10 Commandment coins, some Tagalog bibles
We arrived at 5:30 and the dock security guard was very friendly to us. The watchman on duty welcomed us to the ship and took us to the crew mess. We introduced NLM to the 7 Filipinos present and so we agreed to meet with just them as we didn’t want to stay very long because the ship is leaving at midnight.
We started by asking them how many of them were certain that they would go to heaven; “do you have the assurance that only Jesus can save you?” None of them did, so I shared part of my seafarer’s testimony and John chapter 3, including John 3:16, plus scriptures from Revelation and John 14:6. Jerry also shared with them. He held up a “million dollar bill” tract and a bible and asked them which one they would choose. Of course they chose the million dollar bill because they thought that money would give them a better life. This was a great segue to reaffirm that having Jesus would give them a much better life over-all than money ever could. It was a good time of sharing by all of us.
We finished by praying for them, their families back home, the ship, and their voyage to China. Yesterday some JWs tried to come on the ship but they were too busy and turned them away. I told them that God was protecting them and I shared a bit about the errors of their doctrine.
Please pray for good weather and safety aboard the ship as they travel to China.
