We boarded just after 6pm and they took us to the crew mess. When the chief cook saw 3 large bags of bread he was beside himself with joy. So much so that I took a picture of him with a big smile on his face. He kept saying that it was going in the freezer and would last for 6 months before they would get through it.

They said that most of the crew were working on the deck, and a few had gone to town. The captain and chief engineer were both from the Ukraine and came down to meet us. We sat at a table and visited with them for about half an hour and then Frank asked if we could meet with some of the crew to do a presentation, so they called others and we had 6 total, including captain and chief engineer, to hear us.

Frank opened in prayer and then I did a PowerPoint gospel presentation with my iPad. Frank finished up with a review of the gospel. When we were about to pray with them, the captain got up and motioned for the chief engineer to come with him. The Chief engineer was very responsive to my presentation and I felt that he would have stayed and prayed to receive Christ as his saviour.

Frank led them in a prayer of salvation and they were all very happy. Then we found out they were Catholics and tried to explain the difference between Catholicism and Christianity, but they insisted that they were born again Christians, so we left that between the Lord and them. Frank prayed for their voyage, safety, and families back home.

We left the ship around 7:45 and drove to the African Grouse on the other side of the dock.
